Button Cottage, where we stayed, was really lovely and cosy, and the host Philly, was very friendly and welcoming.
We especially enjoyed having a fireplace and amazing bathtub/shower.
As well as this, the grounds around the cottage are beautiful and very peaceful, with white peacocks and guinea fowl wandering about.
Tips for other travellers
The cottages are very close to Alnwick, and not too far a drive from beautiful places like Bamburgh and Lindisfarne.

We also visited Sycamore Gap, which was stunning, and Craster Harbour/Dunstanburgh Castle, which were also well worth a visit.

We’re planning to come back another time and visit more of the National Park, as well as another trip to Lindisfarne, as we felt we could have spent a full day there.

In terms of places to eat, the Strawberry Lounge, a cafe in Alnwick, had delicious lunch options, with a variety of different types of scone.
