| Comments about this property Button Cottage, where we stayed, was really lovely and cosy, and the host Philly, was very friendly and welcoming. We especially enjoyed having a fireplace and amazing bathtub/shower. As well as this, the grounds around the cottage are beautiful and very peaceful, with white peacocks and guinea fowl wandering about. |

| Tips for other travellers The cottages are very close to Alnwick, and not too far a drive from beautiful places like Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. We also visited Sycamore Gap, which was stunning, and Craster Harbour/Dunstanburgh Castle, which were also well worth a visit. We’re planning to come back another time and visit more of the National Park, as well as another trip to Lindisfarne, as we felt we could have spent a full day there. In terms of places to eat, the Strawberry Lounge, a cafe in Alnwick, had delicious lunch options, with a variety of different types of scone. |
